Join Action Sports Foundation as we welcome Clearwater Boys and Girls Clubs on Saturday, Feb. 18th for a beach cleanup and cookout at Fort Desoto Park. We are also inviting the public, so this will be a great chance to show them what the Tampa Bay watersports community is all about!
This will be an all day event event beginning at 8:00 A.M. and will focus on a beach cleanup for the park in the morning, and enjoying our nice clean beach the rest of the afternoon. Weather permitting, we will be flying trainer kites, SUP, skim, and a kiteboarding showcase by local kiters in the afternoon. Bring your gear!

Lunch will be a family style potluck cookoff, so bring your best dish and let's see what you got! I know there are some great chefs among us, so I expect there will be a little competition going on and some seriously tasty food to sample!

This is the first of 4 cleanups/ cookouts at Desoto this year that ASF is hosting. We are still working on details with the county for free or reduced rate passes for volunteers. Will post more info as we get it.

Welcome to Tampa Bay’s Kite4Kids charity fundraiser for All Children’s Hospital of St. Petersburg.  Kite4Kids is a fun filled day full of beach activities for watersports enthusiast of all ages and experience levels.  There really is something for everyone. 

Activities with a $$$ amount next to it require registration either online or at the event site.  Activities with ARMBAND next to it only require an armband.

Participants will have the opportunity to sign up for:

4. • Stand Up Paddle Board Relay Race ARMBAND

5. • Stand Up Paddleboard Race $45

6. • Kiteboard Downwind Race $75

7. • Pro SUP clinic with Chase Klosterlitz of Fanatic $10

8. • Pro Kiteboarding clinic with two of the best, Billy Parker and Damien Leroy $10 each

9. • Raffle for great prizes

10. • Silent Auction for some awesome gear, lessons, and local business donations ie. restaurants, hotels, and tons of great prizes.

ARMBANDS are $20 each and grant access to the kiteboard, stand up paddle, and skim experiences in addition to the SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) relay race.  These activities are safe and fun for all ages.  Experienced volunteers in all areas will be on hand to show you the way no matter what your experience level.  Families of four or more will be given a discount of $5 for each armband.  So $15 instead of $20.

There will also be a Little One’s activity area with plenty to do.  Little one’s must have a parent with them

Hungry?  Don’t worry as we will have food and drinks on site.  Live music will also be playing throughout the day.  What’s a great beach day without music?
